[Kato awakens very suddenly, eyes snapping open as a shudder runs through his body.

He can still see it - his air mines ripping through the air as they explode, Dist's magic turning the explosion into the greatest force he's ever seen-

...what?

Sitting up sharply, he looks around the familiar room. It's his private quarters, of course; where else would he be? He looks down to his hand, to investigate the detonator he knows is there-

...his hand is empty. How is that....was it just...?

It couldn't have just been a dream...could it?

Grimacing, Kato reaches over to his bedside table and grabs his Pokegear, roughly pulling on his clothes as he scrolls through his contacts. The phone app commences the call as he tugs on his shoes, impatiently tapping one foot on the floor.]

Come on....pick up....

[Despite his extremely odd awakening, Dr Kato is having a spectacular day. So spectacular, in fact, that he's felt the need to pop onto the Rocket network and brag about it.]

I have received a very special gift.

[Held tightly between his fingers is a fairly non-descript TM disc. Judging by the colouring it's for a Normal-type attack...but which one?]

When I was dragged back here, I never thought I'd be able to replicate the work I achieved in my first time here...but with this, I feel simply unstoppable. The world is my oyster.

[He lightly twirls the disc between his fingers, admiring the way it catches the light. He stops it on the opposite side to what was showing before, moving it towards the camera so that the small descriptive text can be seen.

What's rather interesting about this broadcast is the fact that his Gengar is floating beside him, cackling. Or, well, that in itself isn't the strange part - it's more the fact that said Gengar is wearing a pair of glasses identical to Kato's.

Rubbing at his eyes, Kato sighs.]

[Dist is silent for quite some time, which could either be a good thing or a bad thing for Kato. Either he did dream about a castle or he's seriously judging Kato for waking him up to even ask such a thing.

Thankfully it's the former though.]

How did you know that?

[He pauses again because the hell is going on. Did they dream about the same thing?]

[Dist sounds just about as rattled as Kato does.]

I have no idea, although judging by the amount of people at that battle I doubt we're the only ones this has happened to.

[Which means this was obviously some region wide....thing - but...]

I've considered creating some actual robots more than once despite the low demand for them, what with Pokemon existing. What can I say? I miss my creations.

[Dist, we have kind of been in 'mutual ego-stroke' mode for the past little while. It's rather nice, really.

Oh? I would love to see some of your robots - especially if I could compare the technology to what I have at home.

And yes, I do use magic to power them. It is called fonon technology, or fontech for short. I believe I may have mentioned it to you once or twice. But since fonons do not exist here, it's a tad difficult to replicate.

Fortunately though, I have grown accustomed to the technology here, and I should be able to create a suitable replacement.

Mhmm, I remember you talking about it previously. It sounds fascinating.

I think we should collaborate. My technology, fused with yours...who knows what would could create? Let's build something, anything! Something to show those fools just how beautiful our work really is!
