4TH PIECE - [VIDEO/ACTION FOR THE GOLDENROD TEAM ROCKET BASE]

A - [VIDEO]

[[When the feed opens, it's slanted and awkward, as if the Gear had fallen to the ground and currently lies forgotten. There's a good reason for its owners forgetfulness, really; Kato's Zweilous has finally evolved into its final form, Hydreigon, and can currently be seen on the feed, snarling.

What makes it awkward is the fact that the person it is currently snarling at is its trainer, who is pressed up against the wall with an expression full of anger and fear. In the background lie fragments of what must have been a large, powerful machine.]]

Pluto, I am your master, and you will-!!

[[There's a sudden fiery flash of light, and a Flamethrower attack collides with the Hydreigon's side, causing it to shriek in fury and lunge forward. Not, however, at the Pokemon attacking it from offscreen, but at Kato, who isn't able to avoid the attack and starts screaming as the mindless beast digs its teeth into his upper arm, the duo falling to the ground as the feed cuts out.]]

B - [LOCKED VIDEO/ACTION]

[[The feed opens up again soon after, showing a non-descript hallway in what could be some sort of....warehouse? Factory? For those of it who are familiar with it, however, it's obviously the Team Rocket base, and sitting right in the middle of the hallway is a growling, shrieking Hydreigon, clawing at the walls and firing off Dark Pulse attacks up and down the hall. It's obviously seeking an escape but can't find one, and a bad burn spread across its side is causing it pain, only serving to make its rage increase.]]

Fire Flamethrower again!

[[The voice belongs to Kato, and a Typhlosion immediately appears on the screen, flames blazing across his back as he charges up and releases another fiercely powerful attack, colliding perfectly with the Hydreigon's other side. Kato doesn't appear on the feed but his presence is obvious, judging by the strained breathing heard in the background of the image. His own injury is aching, but he doesn't have the time to get it treated. Not, at least, until his rogue Pokemon is brought to heel.]]

C - [LOCKED AUDIO/ACTION]

[[It's later on, and Kato's Hydreigon has been successfully subdued. The scientist is currently sitting in the laboratory, looking murderous, while a nervous assistant wraps a bandage around his injured arm. He's discarded his glasses, coat and cravat, and looks incredibly dishelleved. His hair is untidy, his black shirt untucked, unbuttoned and half-off while the poor assistant does her best to give him first aid. With his good arm, Kato punches a few numbers into his Gear, not really in the mood to send a video message while he's half-naked.]]

If my Pokemon caused you or your property any damage, report it to me. I'm in my lab.

[[Once he finishes speaking, he shoves the Gear back into his pocket, snarling in pain as the bandage pulls against his wound.]]

Will you be careful?

[[OOC: Just pop the letter corresponding to the option you'd like in your subject line! And yes, the video feed is unlocked, so non-members are free to engage Kato in option A should you like to! :>]]

[Gorthan makes his entrance, himself carrying medical supplies after watching the Videos, and he signals the assistant that she may go.

In spite of the continuous misunderstandings between Gorthan and Kato, the geneticist doesn't seem hostile when he approaches his colleague, curiously examining his unusual state, concerned blue eyes finally resting on the bandaged wound.]

It's wrapped too tight, isn't it?

[It would be kind of hard to miss the sounds of destruction within the base. Ryuunosuke's been bored for the past several days, and the sounds immediately catch his attention. It doesn't take him long to find the source of the disruption, and he immediately studies the Hydreigon, eyes wide.]

That's...! That's so cool!

[And if that wasn't enough to let you know he's here, the loud cackling should alert you to his presence, Kato. Oh, but don't worry, he's not going to be entirely useless! Ryuunosuke calls out his Haunter - its nearly level 100 - and grins wildly at Kato.]

You want to subdue it, right? Let's do this thing, then! Haunter, Mean Look!

[The Haunter complies, zipping away to get all up in the Hydreigon's face and launching a Mean Look attack at it.]

[[Kato watches Gorthan enter, his bad mood showing no signs of abating.]]

It's uncomfortable, yes.

[[The fact that Gorthan is carrying medical supplies is not lost on Kato, and he feels a surge of both relief and apprehension; relief because the assistant really didn't know what she was doing, and apprehension due to the fact that he's not sure he quite trusts Gorthan to tend to him. There's something....alien about the fellow.]]

You're trained in First Aid, then?

[[Oh, god, here comes the sanest member of Team Rocket; and coming from Kato, that's saying something! However, for once he's legitimately pleased to see Ryuunosuke; he's excited, appears to be capable of assisting him properly and, most importantly, won't start yelling at him for his mistake.

He's not in the mood.]]

That would be most appreciated, Ryuunosuke; Flamethrower again!

[[Mean Look was an excellent choice, as Pluto is now stumbling around in a circle, completely unable to leave. The additional Flamethrower doesn't do much to help.]]

[Alien is about right. After having set his own first aid kit aside, Gorthan will patiently kneel next to Kato, taking his arm in his large, firm and unusually warm hands.]

There is much I am trained in.

I'm going to redo this. Brace yourself.

[And at that, Gorthan will begin to slowly peel the bandage off.]

[Who is he to judge what you're doing with your Pokemon? Frankly, he doesn't care. This is fun.]

Alright, Haunter! Let's go! Confuse Ray! Follow that up with Will-O-Wisp! Keep it from doing any more damage!

[The Haunter laughs in acknowledgement of the shouted orders, firing off first one attack, then the other. He's clearly enjoying this as much as his trainer is.]

[There's commotion in the hallways that didn't sound too promising... but you got to admit that it makes you curious. This is why Ren will open a door and look out.

... and then immediately go back to the room he had been in so he wouldn't get caught in one of the attacks.]

[[Kato hisses slightly as the material is moved off his wound, revealing a neat row of bite marks. Fortunately, Pluto didn't bite him too deeply, but there's still quite a bit of blood. ]]

I'm going to kill that stupid Pokemon; look what he did to my machine!!

[[With his good arm, he indicates the battered remains of his bomb machine. Apparently destruction is only okay when it's not his stuff being destroyed.]]

And now this! What if I get a scar?

[[Hey, if you help him contain this little problem you can have all the fun you want! As it stands, the Hydreigon promptly bashes its main head against the wall in confusion, wailing as the numerous burns all over its body are intensified by the Will-O-Wisp. Kato watches, amused; Ryuunosuke's battling style is very sadistic.

He approves, really.]]

Finish it, Joule. Make it scream.

[[Kato's Typhlosion moves forward again, releasing another furious fire attack at Pluto. With a shriek, it crashes to the ground, body smoking as its tail twitches. At that same moment, Kato falls to his knees, wrapping his hand around his bleeding arm, face contorted in pain. He's grinning, however.]]

I believe I owe you one for that.

[[Well Ren, you're free to do what you like, really; Kato isn't paying attention to anything outside his current problem.]]

Flame Charge, Joule!

[[And once again, his Typhlosion surges at the Hydreigon, sending flames licking through the hallway.]]

[Ryuunosuke and the Haunter both laugh as the Hydreigon goes down. Haunter keeps laughing, but Ryuunosuke takes note of Kato falling to the ground. He lifts an eyebrow curiously, though makes no move to help Kato up.]

Don't worry about it, sir. What happened to your arm? Did it get you?

[Shame he can't get a very good view of the wound from here. He's always been fascinated with injuries!]

[Well luckily, Ren wasn't really going to completely leave this matter alone, since he does have something that could help with a rampaging Pokémon. He just did't want to get burned to crisp.

So, after the latest attack by the Typhlosion, there will be a Zebstrika in the hallway as well, sending out a Thunder Wave at the Hydreigon after going after it.

There's just no sign of its trainer for now.]

[Cobra's been busy contaminating a well for the past few days, so he's been paying a minimal amount of attention to the Gear, primarily checking to see if anyone's figured out his target. Then this happens, which definitely merits him calling in.]

Kato? What is going on? Is the base under attack? Who does that Pokemon belong to, and why is it attacking the base? Report in at once!

[Oh god what is going on? The only person the Commander knows with one of those is Xion, and please don't let the base be invaded a third time.]

[[Oh brilliant, another rogue Pokemon appearing out of nowhere; just what Kato needs. However, his rage subsides when he realises that the Zebstrika is actually attacking his Hydreigon, rather than making life difficult for him. Well, help is always appreciated.

Pluto shrieks in fury as the Thunder Wave connects, causing his muscles to seize up and sending him crashing to the floor, thrashing angrily and firing another Dark Pulse at the Zebstrika. Kato's Typhlosion fires off another Flamethrower soon after, and it's obvious the Hydreigon is on his last legs.

He's not quite out, however.]]

No sir, the base isn't under attack!

[[Kato's voice is ragged and it's obvious he's speaking through gritted teeth. He motions for his Typhlosion to fire another Flamethrower.]]

I'm just having a few small issues with my newest evolved Pokemon. Nothing for you to worry about, I promise.

[[Kato honestly prefers that Ryuunosuke hasn't moved to help; manly pride and all that. Besides, he pulls himself to his feet a moment later, anyway.]]

It's nothing overly serious. Don't you worry yourself about me.

[[He smiles, then, but it's rather thin, his face pale. It's obvious the wound aches.]]

I don't suppose you have any Pokemon that can help me drag that beast back to my lab? It broke its damn Pokeball.

[Getting hit by a Dark Pulse isn't a really good deal for the Zebstrika because of their level differences, but with luck it's still standing - even if barely.

Since the situation has calmed down at least a little, Ren comes over so that Zebstrika can have another command. This is the last one he can do, however, since it's not really safe for the Pokémon to continue too long.]

Quick Attack, Zebstrika.

*has no idea who the video belongs to, but someone getting attacked by a pokemon is someone getting attacked regardless...*

Are you all right...?

[[Pluto is powerless to avoid the Quick Attack and thus takes it quite badly, his main head slamming into the wall and neatly knocking him out before Kato's Typhlosion needs to fire off any more attacks.

Walking over to his fallen Pokemon, Kato bad-temperedly kicks it to check if it's still awake (knowing that it won't be, that knock looked painful), before turning to Ren and raising an eyebrow.]]

I suppose I should congratulate you for not allowing your Pokemon to take control this time.

[Ryuunosuke shrugs. If Kato doesn't want him to worry, he won't worry! Not that he was really worrying in the first place, but eh, details.]

Oh, yeah, I do actually!

[He moves to pull out a Pokeball, releasing one of Kimblee's horrifying Steelixes. He's had this one for quite awhile, but it's quite weak in comparison to the Haunter.]

Alright, Steelix! Can you move that thing?

[The Steelix roars in response and moves to wrap its tail around the Hydreigon. Ryuunosuke punches a fist in the air with a cheer.]

Great! Let's go, then!

[He returns his attention back to Kato, noticing just how pale the other man is.]

You should probably get that looked at. It looks pretty painful.

[Not that the smirking is really helping...]

[[The feed reopens to show a rather battered lab table, slung on it's side. Whomever is operating the Gear hasn't appeared on screen.]]

Who is this?

*...well that's not the typical reaction, perhaps his didn't hadn't meant it to be a public post? :|a*

Ah, my apologies, your pokegear broadcast a video of you being attacked, so...

[Well, that kick certainly makes Ren happy that he helped... not. Though he won't show it on his face, since he's trying to seem indifferent about that. But ouch the poor Pokémon.]

That's an awful way to say thank you. [Ren calls Zebstrika back to its ball. A well earned rest for the day.]

Your talent for highlighting the obvious is astounding. Thankyou.

[[Kato tends to be fairly bitchy but the injury is making everything worse. Not that he's really expecting Ryuunosuke to be offended. The Steelix idea is a good one; he could have used his own Steelix but why bother exhausting his own Pokemon when there are others happy to do it? He indicates said Steelix with his good arm.]]

You've got one too, then?

[[Oh please, the Pokemon bit him! It deserves it! Not that it was just rebelling against the abuse it's received ever since it hatched, or anything.]]

I've never been one for gratitude, but I did admit that you did rather well.

[[Ren, you're too easy.]]
